I am now an independent demonstrator for Stampin up

It's all too exciting but yes i have just signed up to be an independent Stampin up demonstrator so go easy on me at first im still getting my head around all this and hope to have some more links up here for bookings and orders etc very soon. I love all there products and have done for some years as you would see with a lot of my punch projects. I especially love how everything coordinates together from stamps with punches to inks with papers and markers etc and have found there products to be of a very high quality. This dose not mean my whole blog will now be stampin up only as i have had lots of other ideas of my own which i will continue to publish. I need to thank Juliana for helping me and i have a feeling i will need a heap more help yet! so for now if you would like to browse the catalogue just click on the pic below and i will soon have my own business links up for you all. just a thought.........whats in your cup? is it just stuff or has it overflowed on the table with Gods blessings of love, grace and His hope in your life!

A Valentine Day Birthday

Happy Valentines day for Sunday! which happens to be my mums birthday and i wanted to show you the card i made for her. I wanted it to have lots of flowers and I'm still loving the colour combination of pink with stampin ups Cameo coral so here are my results.....

little baby punchart birds/ video

Hi all, I'm really enjoying using my punches lately and came up with these cute little baby birds. Our daughter starts Uni to do Primary Teaching in a couple of weeks so i made her this card. Big changes for us all....and I'm not sure if I'm really loving all these changes but at the same time its a fact of life and we know she is very excited to start hers. So on to the baby birds...you will need:

One 1 3/8' circle punch for the body.
one 1 1/4' circle punch for the body.
one 1' circle punch for the body.
Two different flowers from the spring bouquet punch, the 8 petal one
for the feet(punch2) and tail,and one petal from the 5 petal flower for the beak.
one - three small oval punches depending if you want the wings open or closed.
Five 1/2' circle punches for the eyes, one cut in half for the eyelids.
And two regular hole punches for the inner eyes.

I'm not going to show you all the steps here in pics but i will show you how i cut the cute little legs. I used the 8 petal flower from the spring bouquet punch for this and I've marked it here where to cut. This will give you that cute little chicken leg look!

And these are a few different coloured ones I've done...some with wings closed.....they are so cute!

If you listen carefully on the video you can hear the Little Wattle birds in the background.... i recorded this just on sunset and they all seemed to be saying goodnight! Well i hope you enjoy my little punch babies.

Altered Teabag scallop flower plus video

Hi all, i have a really great friend that has been a mentor for me while i have been working through panic attacks and all the counseling Ive been through for it and i wanted to say thank you to her for the hours she's spent just talking with me so i thought id make her this card. I also wanted to show you this cool altered teabag flower. the original is here on YouTube and it was a lot bigger and bulkier so i tried one with my circle scallop punch from stampin up and it turned out really nice. I did one step different though. I have seen this fold before but not popped back out in this way. video Tutorial below...... you will need:

from a light weight card
3 scallop circles
one 1/2' circle punch and
one small flower for the center, i used the spring bouquet punch
ink of your colour choice
a jewel for the center, glitter
and some ribbon for the leaves

Ink each scallop in the center and around the edges and also the small center flower. Now fold each one in half colour side in, then fold each side up into the center as seen below.

Bring the sides back up.


Then push the insides flat with your finger. this is one set of petals

When you've made all three glue them to the 1/2' circle. Add the smaller flower in the center and a jewel, glitter not shown here...sorry.... Now this is how the flower i seen was left but i didn't like the extra card that was peeping out from behind the petals so i simply cut them out. Make sure you don't cut into the fold, just a triangle cut out will work well shown here in green. Doing this i think it looked a whole lot better.

little punch Owl

Hi all heres another little punch cutie i created and the punches i used were:

3 Stampin ups wide oval punch for the body.
2 Stampin ups Small oval punches for the wings.
2, 1/2' circle punches for the eyes.
and 2 five petal punches from the Spring flower bouquet punch by Stampin up.
And you'll need a scallop circle punch to do some double punching on the body and wings.

I know there are a lot of punch owls out there but this one was so easy to make using less punches so i hope you give him a try.......Valita.....ps you will hear the pest control guy in the background grrr he was so noisy and plus he was 3 doors up from us....lol

Here's the punch dog promised and a list of punches

Stampin ups wide oval punch for the head and body
and double punch one for his tail.
6 small oval punches for the ears muzzle arms and nose.
2 1/2' circle punches for the paws.
2 office size hole punches for the eyes.
stampin ups scallop square.
and a 1 and 1/4' punch for the sign.
I also made a template from acetate and a 3/4' circle to trace the smile on.

Cute punchart Bear and wings

Hi all, while searching around on the net i came across some new digital stamp images from Tree House Stamps and was inspired to make some as punchart so here is my version of the lovable friends bear and the punches i used were :

Stampin up's wide oval for the head,
large oval for the body and small oval for the arms and muzzle.
A 3/4" circle for the feet and a 1/2" circle for the ears and nose.
A regular size office hole punch for the eyes.
And a med to large heart punch, ink around all the pieces.

to make the smile i made a template from some clear acetate and the 3/4' punch and traced this on with a fine marker, i also added some dimensional magic to the nose to give it a wet shinny look. I went ahead and made another one for my niece that is due to have a baby girl and added some punchart wings.

I used the stampin up word window punch, punched the first one on an angle and double punched 5 others with a hook on the end and glued all these together at the tip of the wing, then add some glitter . you can see more of how i did this in the video below.

Pop up Balloon card

Happy new year for 2010 ! may you discover new things about yourself this year that will make you a better person. And a very happy birthday to everyone in the month of January. Please note this is not my original idea it was first seen on the splitcoast stampers website i didn't see how the insert was done. so i came up with this folded one which worked well.

Baby Shower, Awards and a Wedding

Hi all we just had a baby shower for my niece and her husband and though i would show some of the things i made for them. this card was made using a 1 and 3/8" circle punch, a small clip lock bag, a tiny rubber baby, some hair gel and a template found here. I found this link for tiny plastic babies , and also this link. A touch bulky but just the right amount of hair get seemed to work pretty good, just make sure you tape all you layers down well. A close up......

so cute hey! i also made a nappy cake and one to eat for them...her sister had the cute little icing baby made for the top of the cake.


and while were on the subject of family i cant help but mention the achievements of our kids this year....our youngest daughter Madaleine was awarded excellence in food technology coming first in her class for yr 8, 2009 and also was awarded a scholarship to the value of $853 for 2010 school fees. so proud of her! xx

Our oldest daughter Beth finished her certificate 4 in christian counseling in pastoral care and is off to uni next year to start primary teaching! she has also done a week as a Red frog
volunteering as a hotel Chaplin for the shoolies week here in Byron Bay well done Beth XX

Ben has just entered his last year of schooling doing 1 term already and has just bought himself a new car which he's so proud of. He was also awarded an $853 scholarship for 2010. they have all achieved and grown so much this year and we are very proud of them as their parents. love you all XX

And the family fun doesn't stop there....we also attended my twin sister wedding on the Gold coast and had a great day..... these are the belly bands i made for their invites .... all made with paper frangipanis done with a small balloon punch


and i made this card and picture frame as a wedding gift..........

this is me and my twin sister Michelle..... So wow its been a crazy year 3 weddings a funeral, 2 baby showers kids growing up working through panic attacks, the perfect holiday and God has blessed us abundantly! no doubt about it! i hope and pray He has for you too!

how to make half window cards in the cuttlebug

Hey all, the Christmas season is really upon us now and i though i better make a post here and get my head out of Great Keppel's sunny skies and clear blue water......ahhh stop rambling...lol..no seriously here is a card you might like to try. i seen this done in a Big Shot machine with stampin up dies by sizzix called movers and shakers (click here to what the video)and really liked the concept, which got me thinking how i could make this in my cuttlebug.....so heres what i came up with... ill post some more Christmas cards soon...Valita
