Happy Birthday Dave! GoPro card

I want to wish my husband a happy 46th Birthday xx  seen as he is enjoying his GoPro so much what else was there to make but a GoPro card. We love you loads and hope you have a great day and year xoxoxoox.
To make this I used a card base of  5 and 1/2 x 4 and 1/2" or 14 x 11 cm folded. GoPro screen 1and 1/2 x 2" or 4 x 5 cm. The circles I used measured.... 3 and 1/4", 2 and 1/2", 1 and 3/4", 1 and 1/4" and a 1/2".
This is the GoPro without the outer case on which was a little easier to replicate. If you don't like the hand writing look do all your pieces on the printer, I was going for the home made look here so my hand writing was ok for what I needed. Its not the most perfect thing but I hope this might inspire you to make some of your own cards that suit the hobbies the guys in your life love. Thanks to those who have checked out Dave's YouTube Channel.... if you haven't and would like to go to this link or press on the pic.... please subscribe Dave would love that!  :-) PS sorry for the bad camera angles etc... I still don't have it all set up yet in my new craft space.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young.

in the way you live, in your love,

your faith, and your purity.

Motorbike punch art

Hi all, its good to get back in a have a play with some paper craft after making quite a few puppets! I finally finished 10 indigenous puppets all going to a school in Victoria, check them out over at my puppet blog, VR puppet builds .

So for a while now Ive had the idea of a part motorbike punch art and at last Ive put it together.
I used mainly circle punches for this one, card stock, black and white ink, sponge dauber, glitter, glue, foam dots, emboss folder called sun rays, washi tape flags and a stamp saying.... see below pic for details. Please keep reading.......

One thing I would like to mention is if you enjoy this and or my other projects don't take advantage of my designs free or for sale.....please link me back and give some credit. We should all do this to encourage each others talents or they just get lost out in cyberspace and no one knows who's made what. A lot of time and effort goes into making these and  truly this only take a few minuets to do a quick search as to who has made things. I have always done this! I have also had quiet a few stampin up demonstrators redo my designs on video and blogs and give no links or credits back, one even put instruction on her site which is one of my designs that's for sale here! she has never answered my emails. This is very disappointing and gives your company a bad name! just proves how cut throat and tramp over the paper craft business has become and the need to put up new ideas even if there NOT your own.... come on do the right thing guys! use some paper-craft etiquette.

 Blessings to you

and a last though

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,

to which indeed you were called in one body.

 And be thankful.

Daft punk card

Hi all, My son gave me the idea to make my version of a daft punk helmet card. Daft punk is a music band. So I took on the challenge and the above pic was the result.....
Over this last Christmas break gone he was mad on making his own helmet, first from a paper cut out glued together and then he epoxy glued it inside and out, fiber glassed the inside then bogged the outside. Since this pic he has sanded it all back and its looking great! I think he eventually wants cut out the visor and add led lights.

you can purchase the basic pattern here...
Daft punk pattern $3.95

Not this is only the front pattern as a guide and shape for your card. You will need to cut a back base card with some tabs added as shown in the video. I hope you enjoy this idea for the men in your life!

Hi all, a little warmer out today, Ive been spring cleaning and getting lots of odd jobs done here and it feels good to clear away some dust and clutter.... Thank you for so many lovey emails and comments on my last post and video of me being myself I appreciate every lovey word spoken :)
Ive given our two doggies a spring shave because our pom is like a dandie lion in spring and sheds hair everywhere!!  Madaleine then made them some jumpers .... the nights are still cold... and she potted up some pretty pansies :)

This weekend is Fathers day in Australia and I was thinking of what to do for Dave.... He loves Lime/malt milkshakes and the kids and I are always making them for him..... I came across a card on the net with a little milkshake on the front not sure where now and thought that would look cool as a large shaped paper piecing type card so this is what i came up with....

We went down to see him on the weekend as he fly's out to Nepal on Friday and he will have his 20th birthday at base camp of Mt Everest soooo exciting for him! Making a Mustache from dies and punches

HI all, its been a while since I last posted. with work outside the home its taken me a while to catch up. We had Madaleines 17th birthday

We bought her a spinning wheel and she is having fun ex-experimenting!!
Ben is almost set now for his trip to Nepal..... a lot of excitement in his camp. Beth finally got the cast taken off her wrist but has a lot of physio to do on it.
So I've been playing again with the paisley die set and came up with a range of mens  mustaches just by folding a piece of card stock in half and cutting it with your die.... pic below. We had fun at a wedding recently with this. they could be put on sticks or make a finger ring for them like i did.

I also just finished making this shawl.... here is the link for the pattern  http://ootycoil.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/lace-love.html

any way sit back a take a look at how i made these cute mens mustaches...enjoy

Angry Birds King pig and Helmet pig! fun birthday cards

Hi all, so happy to let you all know Beth is home! :) wow what an amazing time she has had in India it took us a while to look at all her photos and videos but so worth it they are great! she has told us so many amazing stories too! her first week back home was spent sick in bed though but she is starting to feel better. I love this pic of her at the Taj Mahal and wanted to share it with you

we are so proud of her courage to experience teaching in this way and we know the children and people she met will always stay in her heart. So the cards I have made for this post were inspired from Beth's stopover in Malaysia. She bought some plush toys from the Angry Birds computer game, I also found these cute angry birds boxes you can make.

I made the King pig for Ben's Birthday. He has just turned 19 and is about 3 days into his first Uni prac for high school wood tech teaching and seems to be enjoying it! Beth will be home for another few weeks so it will be so good having all our family home for a while. Anyhow i have the patterns below and you can watch the video on how i made the King pig, same things apply for the Helmet pig..... enjoy!
