Beths Trip to India

Hi all, todays post has no paper crafting sorry it's all about family today. Our oldest daughter Beth has just flown out from Australia for a month long stay in India where she and a group from there Uni will be teaching prac in an orphanage at Bodhgaya India. A part of there trip follows Mother Teresa's steps and some touring of the country. I am asking for your prayers for Beth, her group and group leaders and also the lives she will come in contact with. I know they will be a blessing to the orphanage and the people they meet but they will also be truly blessed themselves in what they see and experience. thanks everyone we appreciate this very much. Above is a pic of our daughter Beth and son Ben the day before she flew out. We made her a sheet sleeping bag as she is going from our winter to 46 degree humid heat and wrote this message on it for her....

Jehovah himself is caring for you!
he is your defender, He protects you day and night.
He keeps you from all evil, and
preserves your life. He keeps his eye upon you
as you come and go, and always guards you.
Psalms 121: 5-8

Blessings to you

I hope she enjoys her stay in Bodh gaya Valita...Being an Indian I know how difficult it can be when there are climatic differences in your home country and your country of visit.. bodh Gaya is a very nice and peaceful place...

What a great opportunity for her and I know it must be hard to "let her go" but I LOVE the verse you have claimed for her. You bet I will join you in praying for her and her trip (and for peace for you too)!!!

It's wonderful that the young people are willing to go and share and help other young people. She and her group are doing good work and how wonderful it will be for them to see how others live. This will be a growing experience for all concerned. I pray for her safety and all others involved. It's always hard to see our young go off where we can't be there to lend a mother's hand to help. ha ha

take care GB
pat..I enjoy your site a lot.

Valita, yes I will pray for Beth and her missions group to India. What a thoughtful gift of the sleeping bag!
We pray God's protection of Beth and her group during their time there and the missions work at hand.

I am new to this site, your lotus card is awesome! I wish your daughter and her team the very best. India is a phenomenal country that never leaves your heart once you visit it. As an Indian not living there anymore, I do welcome every one to India that wants the experience of a life time. I just have one wish that people come as tourists/volunteer groups etc but NOT AS MISSIONARIES THAT WANT TO CONVERT LOCALS TO OTHER RELIGIONS!! I respect all religions and they should all be left alone to practice their faiths without being coaxed/bribed into converting.
