Punched tulip and leaves using oval punches + video

Hi all, well life is settling down a little as Beth settles in to Uni life...hasn't been easy for her, the change of food has made her sick and now she has a cold, plus making new friend circles has been challenging plus stressful. there's been a few calls home!
Ive been enjoying having a play with my punches again and discovered how to get a nice shape leaf with my oval punches! . Its sometimes gets a bit frustrating keeping up with the seasons regards to card making as we are always out of season to most of the world or so it seems. Ive found here in Australia we don't seem to send Easter cards as some other countries may do so while i see heaps of spring projects coming form USA here it is autumn so this was my reason for not adding an Easter sentiment..........I also need to say a big thank you to Juliana my up line with Stampin up, she so kindly sent me some stamp sets and other goodies. So lets get started. You will need:

2 Stampin up wide oval punches in green for the leaves
4 Stampin up large oval punches for the flower and to double punch the leaves
Stampin up scallop circle punch to double punch your flower petals
card stock of your choice. I used Pink Passion and green galore
inks to match, foam tape

Starting with the flower you will punch out 4 large ovals, then using the scallop punch pick up 2 of the scallops and make a double punch and you will end up with a shape like in the pic above.
ink around the edges and layer these up with foam tape. I added some white gel pen to accent the flower (refer to the above pic)

Cut a thin stem and ink the edge. Now starting on the leaves you will need to punch 2 wide ovals
then using some snail adhesive tape this to a scrap piece of card.

next make a double punch on a slight angle using the large oval punch and only going in part way.

Now you have a long moon shape.

Thread the wider end of the moon shape back into the large oval punch where it fits nicely to one end and make another punch. this will round off the leaf.

So now you can leave this flat or score a center vein and make a fold. then ink all the edges. And its as simple as that!....so now check out the video tutorial.............and enjoy Valita

and a last thought

Above all else, guard your heart
for it is the well spring of life.

Valita, I love your work and have placed an order. It was somewhat challenging with the #2 button not responding and I couldn't get through with an e-mail either unfortunately. I ordered, but am concerned about it as I had to order 2 #1 egg sets when I really wanted 1 of #1 and 1 of #2. Hope this works out. I love your work as I said and am looking forward to making cards using your patterns for my friends and family next Easter and Christmas.
