Motorbike punch art

Open in Mobile App

Hi all, its good to get back in a have a play with some paper craft after making quite a few puppets! I finally finished 10 indigenous puppets all going to a school in Victoria, check them out over at my puppet blog, VR puppet builds .

So for a while now Ive had the idea of a part motorbike punch art and at last Ive put it together.
I used mainly circle punches for this one, card stock, black and white ink, sponge dauber, glitter, glue, foam dots, emboss folder called sun rays, washi tape flags and a stamp saying.... see below pic for details. Please keep reading.......

One thing I would like to mention is if you enjoy this and or my other projects don't take advantage of my designs free or for sale.....please link me back and give some credit. We should all do this to encourage each others talents or they just get lost out in cyberspace and no one knows who's made what. A lot of time and effort goes into making these and  truly this only take a few minuets to do a quick search as to who has made things. I have always done this! I have also had quiet a few stampin up demonstrators redo my designs on video and blogs and give no links or credits back, one even put instruction on her site which is one of my designs that's for sale here! she has never answered my emails. This is very disappointing and gives your company a bad name! just proves how cut throat and tramp over the paper craft business has become and the need to put up new ideas even if there NOT your own.... come on do the right thing guys! use some paper-craft etiquette.

 Blessings to you

and a last though
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
to which indeed you were called in one body.
 And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15

  1. This is so cool! Thanks for sharing your ideas with everyone. I 'pin' a bunch of your cards, punch art, etc. to my boards on Pinterest, and I always link them from your blog so others can find you.... I agree, it's the only right thing to do, to give credit where credit is due. I try my best to do that with all my 'pins', but I don't always succeed in finding the original maker.. but I do try..... Anyway I think your motorcycle is wonderful! :)

  6. Valita, this is so cool! Love your motorcycle. I can't wait to make something like this for my son when he is a bit older (he's 7 and loves cars or anything with wheels). I agree with the above comments. It's the right thing to do indeed. I need to tell you something. Your blog not only brings inspiration on a creative level, it gives me inspiration on a spiritual level as well. I'm exhausted and have been for weeks from my workload and all that is on my plate. Before bed, I spotted your blog post and thought I need to read her scripture tonight. It lifted me up and gives me hope. Thank you for everything. God Bless!

  9. Luv your card!!! and agree with you!!

it was all your work and all your asking for is the credit...I would call stampin up and ask is that in their codes to "take credit of work that is not theirs?? no ethics...sorry but this upsets me..

  11. cardchick's world, Ive tried and you can never reach anyone who will listen! they don't care as long as someone else is doing all their pushing of products which then make the demonstrators not care

I so agree with you, give credit where credit is due. Some people have no shame

  13. You are so creative with your ideas. The little details like the white ink make it look so realistic. Thanks for sharing!

  14. You should report the demonstrator to Stampin' Up compliance. Perhaps a strongly worded letter from them will help her not steal things from other artists and take credit for them. This card is really great. It is so nice to have a really wonderful card to give to a man. I have some nephews that would really appreciate this.

  15. Love this bike! You deserve the credit, especially when you work so hard on your designs. I don't understand why it is so hard for some people to give credit to the rightful owner/designer. Thank you for sharing your awesome talents!

  17. What an awesome card Valita! I have a number of your tutorial links on my website. You are amazing. Sometimes I just stare at your art and ask myself, "how does she see that with those punches". :) I know what you mean about giving credit. I used to be a SU demo and it has gotten really bad. I still give classes and sometime use other ideas, but I always tell my girls where I found the idea and this is my twist on it. Keep up the awesome work. We know who to give credit. Thanks for all your inspiration. ~Judy~

  20. Love this bike. my husband is a bike fanatic and i will make th crd for his birthday in september. My daughter is a stampin up demo and gets mad when others dont credit designers for their work as it gives them all a bad name. Louise xx

  21. Love this card Valitha. Great idea! I agree with you that the only right thing to do is give someone credit for the designs he or she shares. As you say, it only takes a little time to do so. And later on it's also helpfull for yourself in finding the source the design.
    Best wishes, Wies
