Hi all, another cold windy winters day here but very warm at heart! we had our daughter ring from India at 2am this morning and have a nice chat to us. It took me ages to get back to sleep just thinking about her! so loved hearing each others voices. she thanks you all so much for your emails which I have passed on to her and she was very encouraged by them all. She is finding the language barrier very challenging and felt like the first day was a total failure but we soon helped her see that all this is done by letting God lead and guide in what is the best way to break down some of those barriers. her next day was much better as she played action games outside with the kids as village people looked on and laughed at her funny movements. She is loving the whole experience the hard bits and all. We are so proud of her :) once again thank you! We also have our son home from Uni which is sooo nice, He will do his first design and technology prac in the next few weeks in a small town high school near here. He has totally inspired our youngest daughter to strive for a similar course in life but with tech-styles. She recently got back some very improved grades which we are all proud of! soo love our kids :)
So to the paper crafting, This is a punch art lotus flower Ive been working on for a while but hadn't posted it up until our son came home and fixed a few video camera problems we had
( thank goodness for these young people that God has blessed with technology incite!) Made with stampin up punches, and some cool tips on making some pretty water lily leaves! all is explained in the video below plus you can purchase the written pattern here for the small price of $3.95
UPDATE: please note, Stampin
up no longer sells the bolssom petals punch used for this project so to
get around this problem and continue for you to enjoy my projects I have
designed some replacement petals which are very similar and will allow you to
make the same projects. This will be included with your purchase download....
the up side is you don't need to buy an
expensive punch! You can refer to my instruction video as to how to use my template, thank you for your ongoing
support. Valita
This is a brilliant tutorial you have posted Valita.. Will give it a try soon.. Glad to hear you daughter is having fun in India.. I had let you know that there would be language barriers.. But I am sure she would pick up the local language soon.. At least some words.. They are rather easy especially Hindi... :-)
Wow look at that Lotus Flower and leaf! I don't have time now to watch this tutorial but will soon! I'm glad to hear your Daughter called in to reassure you she's well!
