Happy Christmas from our house to yours

Id like to wish you all a happy Christmas and many blessings for 2011. I have appreciated so much all the lovely emails, prayers, comments and support you have sent my way and many of these were sent at just the right time :) thanks you for listening when Gods speaks, you have all been a blessing to me this year. I also wanted to say i wont be posting on my blog till mid January as we have work outside the home till then and wanted to leave you all a video message from our family. During this Christmas holiday, the season of giving, remember to take time to focus on the greatest gift of all, the gift of eternal, abundant life through Jesus.
Blessings to you

that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life”

A Christmas scene Tent card

Hi all, while surfing the net i was inspired by this cute Christmas card and straight away knew i could do something similar in punches. I decided to make this into a Christmas scene and wanted to get the feel you were looking out a window. Tent cards are so easy you can find more instructions on how to make them here.

I used clear acetate for the window and embossed it with the window pane folder from cuttlebug. This one Ive just mounted up as a regular card front.
To create my punchart refer to the below pic and watch the video :) hope you enjoy
Blessings to you

I do not give to you as the world gives.

Some projects ive enjoyed making/ Awards night

Hi all, two projects (not my own) to show you that i have really enjoyed doing. The first is the cute little bag from Kim, her blog is called Clearly inspired and you can find the video tutorial for this here. the second is this great pop out star made by Tami, her blog is called Stamp with Tami and she gets really excited about all her paper craft projects. You can find the video tutorial here. The above pic shows it closed and open. Last year i received this petal card

and it had really inspiring words all around each petal..... so that's what I've done with my star, each fold uncovers words to inspire my friends. So pop over and check out these great projects and you too will be inspired :) We also went to our daughters end of year awards night last night and she was awarded..... pursuit of excellence in food technology and an $896 scholarship for 2011! we are so proud of her and all she has achieved this year well done Madaleine! XX

Beth on the left, so good to have her home from Uni, she keeps the fun in our family :) Madaleine in the center a solid rock she is! and Ben on the right a beautiful young man just starting to grab hold on life :) they help keep our hearts happy and are a constant reminder how God abundantly blesses.
Blessings to you

Glittery punch Santa

Hi all, thanks for you well wishes for my son and his new job, we are all still very excited for him here and were off tonight to our youngest daughters end of year awards night. Well I wanted to get this idea out before everyone is either sick of Christmas card making or already sent out their cards. I love how this glittery Santa came out and he was inspired by this ornament I just bought to add to my Santa collection..... the kids think I'm mad ;)

Ive added some details to this shot as to what punches Ive used which will help.

sit back now and enjoy my video.....
Blessings to you

Using and storing Glitter

Hi all, WOOO HOOO our son got the trainee-ship at Express coaches Bus building and were so proud of him!! congrats Ben it's so good to know where you'll be heading now for next year we know God will bless as you learn a new trade XX,
I'm also having so many problems with my movie making programs that its not funny anymore, one reason why i haven't posted too much lately please let me know if anyone can suggest a good program. Any how Ive been playing a bit with all my new Martha Stuart glitters I bought and love them! I wanted to show you how I use and store my glitters. We went through a phase here in Australia using kindy glitz or some of you would know this as stickles or the wet glitters and they were good but i don't think it leaves you with quite the same effect as using crystal effects with dry glitter. The wet glitters tended to warp and change the colour of the card where as using the crystal effects then applying dry glitter didn't and left the overall project a little raised and nicer looking and you know the nicest people are the ones with glitter on their faces ;) ...ones less messy though.... anyhow I guess it comes down to your needs as well. So this is how i store my dry glitters...

decor has these great little containers which are approx 2-1/2" across x 2" high they come in packs of 6 for a bit less than $1 each container from the grocery store.... Woolworth's here for all the Aussies. I tip my cylinder of glitter in and its so much easier getting the glitter back into a larger container. So then I went looking for some spoons.....and found exactly the right size in these puddings from the cheap shops (crazy Clarks) and now each colour glitter has its own spoon and the lid will close with them stored inside, cool hey! :))

So stamp your image, silhouettes work best and slowly and carefully go over only the image with crystal effects, sprinkle over your glitter and with a fine craft knife you can take little pieces back off where you may have gone over before it drys just to touch it up.

A close up and some examples

Now check the video :)
Blessings to you

We have to remember that each day is a gift.
If we choose to focus on what’s wrong,
we’ll miss the beauty that each day has to offer.
