Im loving these no tool flowers

Hi all, well i have been flat out working in our garden....getting classes ready and visiting my mum in law whose in hospital she is very sick and needs our prayers, her name is Audrey. im loving these no tool flowers that Joanne makes...go here to see and find her pattern, thank you Joanne. We've decided to revamp our yard as the grass isnt growing well and we only have a small yard anyhow. Im so enjoying being in my garden after 6 months of panic attacks ive found some peace in my garden God is good. I love succulents and Bromeliads and it amazes me how many varieties are out there. I just bought a succulent yesterday called Donkey's ears and i think its amazing...here's a pic

Check out how this beauty makes new plants at the ends of the leaves!!! Gods creation always amazes me! and a pic of our front yard....finally finished but still needs a few more plants. Best thing is no more mowing!

thankyou for all your comments in my guest book and concerns for me and my family over summer we do appreciate them. and ill leave you all with.....

a last thought
A single day in your temple is better
than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a doorman of the
temple of my God than live in
palaces of wickedness.

Poppy -No tools flowers/ creating a leaf for the Poppy

I'm finally finding time to add to my blog after wrestling with a computer program which i still haven't sorted out....its been a while and i appolgise to all those who like to follow my blog. Ive been still enjoying Joannes no tool flowers and show you the poppy i made

and a close up

you can find the pattern on Joannes Mainly Flowers blog. But ill show you how i did my leaf.
Cut 1 leaf from my pattern below and edge with black or dark green ink.

Next score a fold line down the middle and fold in half and ink edge the fold.

Fold the leaf in half with the inked side out and fold back the top tip and ink the fold line....this will create the veins on the leaf. do this both to the left and fold back to the right so it inks both veins.

then do the same for the next 2 sections.

And when you unfold the finished leaf will look like this.

Here's the leaf pattern....

I hope you enjoy these flowers as i have ...thanks again Joanne for your creativeness.

and a last thought

Since the Lord is directing our steps,
why try to understand everything
along the way?
